    The Commune Cookbook, First Edition
    Crescent Dragonwagon
Simon an Schuster: New York, 1972

Stated First Printing. Yellow cloth decorated with forest green titles and illustrations; wrapped in original dust jacket. Fine/Near Fine. A crisp, clean copy: pages unmarked and binding tight; dust jacket shows light wear. Dust jacket designed by Robert Giusti and is now protected in an archival mylar cover.

From the cover: “This book is about a bunch of people who lived together in a Brooklyn brownstone… the good food they ate, how they fixed it, and where they got it… (plus a lot of other stuff)”

Crescent Dragonwagon went on to write numerous well received cookbooks, and has been called ‘The Alice Waters of the Ozarks’. A sweet relic of the heyday of communes, coops, and the beginning of the clean eating revolution!
