    See What I Mean?
    Lewis Browne
    Random House: New York, 1943

Blue cloth with red titles and decorations; wrapped in original dust jacket. Very Good/Good. A square, clean copy; dust jacket is chipped in places and is now protected in an archival mylar cover.

A novel that wrestles with fascism while the allies were fighting fascism. The interior of the dust jacket reads, “Books are Weapons in the War of Ideas”.

Lewis Browne first described his first encounter with fascism, “when I was a fledgling clergyman in Waterbury, Connecticut, and the local chief of police forbade the noted Italian libertarian, Carlo Tresca, to deliver a lecture there against Mussolini. Almost before I knew why, I found myself running a protest meeting at which Tresca read the Declaration of Independence and was arrested.”
